C4G, Coaching for growth, is a coaching model in which Dr. Owen Weston DMin, PhD and selected pastors agree to spend one day together each month for one year, to learn from Dr. Owen Weston, Dr. Sean O’Neal, other leading experts and from each other how to grow effective and reproducing (Mega) Churches and mostly non-profit organizations.
The Mission is to help keep Christianity alive by creating effective pastors and churches.
The Vision is to help pastors who want to make a difference, develop themselves, grow their churches and concurrently, how they in turn can help other pastors do likewise.
The Model has three elements:
Help the pastor grow his church through interaction with Dr. Weston and other pastors and leaders
How to simultaneously help other pastors in their sphere of influence to do the same.
Working under Dr. Weston and Dr. O’Neal, to finish their Bachelors degree and to move on to completing their Masters and Doctors degree through cooperating recognized Universities.
The Strategy is for Dr. Weston to work with around 12 pastors who have a burden to make a difference and are willing to help other pastors become more effective. They will meet together one day a month to study, interact, strategize and develop a current, culturally contextual methodology for church development. They are to work on respective syllabi which help them complete their next degree. Finally and most importantly, they must agree to instill this training into other pastors, preferably another of their 12 pastor friends. Part of their training is not just receiving the material but training other pastors with it as this will solidify their learning experience. It is the Biblical mandate to, “train young men who in turn will train others.”
The Costs will include a monthly fee and each church will take turns to have these meetings at their church. The church having Dr. Weston doing the meeting at their church that month will carry the cost of housing Dr. Weston for that meeting at their church.
A financial example of this model: If a pastor pays $250 a month and has several pastors he is coaching paying him $250 a month he will have a good means of additional income.
